Description

Ebeling & Reuss Marchioness Crystal Highball Glasses Set of 6 – Rare Mixed Colors

This beautiful set of six Ebeling & Reuss Marchioness crystal highball glasses captures everything collectors love about mid-century European cut crystal. Each glass features rich jewel-tone overlay, deep wheel-cut floral and geometric decoration, and a finely applied gold rim that adds warmth and elegance.

What makes this set stand out immediately is the color combination. Rather than a single-color grouping, this is a carefully balanced mixed set that includes several of the more desirable and harder-to-find tones in the Marchioness line.

The light pink example is especially noteworthy. This softer rose tone appears far less often than the standard colors and is considered one of the more elusive variations in the pattern. Alongside it, the topaz (amber) and cranberry glasses add another level of collectibility, as both colors tend to surface less frequently on the market compared to the more common ruby or amethyst examples.

The remaining colors—sapphire blue, emerald green, and amethyst—complete the set with strong contrast and depth, creating a full spectrum display that reflects how these pieces were originally presented in higher-end retail settings.

Each glass shows the classic Marchioness construction. The upper bowl carries the colored overlay with finely cut floral motifs, while the lower section transitions into clear crystal with a sharply cut diamond pattern. The gold rims remain in very good condition, which is important for both display and long-term value.

These glasses feel substantial in hand and reflect light beautifully. They work equally well as functional barware or as a striking display set. When grouped together, the colors create a layered, almost luminous effect that changes with the light.

Sets like this rarely appear with such a strong combination of colors, especially including the lighter pink and topaz examples. This is not a typical grouping—it is a more desirable version of the pattern that appeals directly to collectors who understand the subtle differences between pieces.
